Out Of The Silence Devotional

Out Of The Silence is a five-day devotional for Christians who have experienced any form of sexual violence and are on a journey towards healing, or are about to start their healing journey. This devotional is not a quick-fix healing manual, nor is it written by a healing expert. Rather, it comes from a place of personal experience as a Christian woman and a survivor.

The title, "OUT OF THE SILENCE" is an attempt to convey the freeing power that can be realised when we refuse to be silent about our stories of sexual abuse. Shame and fear only have power in the darkness, but the good news is that when light starts to shine, darkness gradually fades away.

Stepping out of the silence means no more self-condemnation. Stepping out of the silence means helping someone feel less alone. Stepping out of the silence means demanding justice. It is my hope for you that you do find the courage to step OUT OF THE SILENCE.
